Whats the best hook for alligator gar fishing?

I am gonna tell you what works for me 99% of the time . Eagle Claw 974m hook In a 4/0 is my favorite go to hook any time. You can catch any size gar on that hook from 1lb to 300 it will land them all. Its a 2x hook so you can bend it if you get hung up and if you are practicing catch and release and they swallow the hook, it will dissolve in there system pretty quick.
